Reduction Linocut, 10x30cm

Nina’s inspiration comes from a lifelong love of the natural world and her experiences working as an ecologist, in the water industry in particular. Creating a linocut allows her to recreate this natural world in colourful detail. The Lighthouse is inspired by Portland Bill Lighthouse in Dorset and is a variable edition of 30 because the rocks have been inked in a freestyle way. Nina has created ‘sparkle’ of light on the side of the lighthouse by under inking one side of the roller when applying the red stripe. The amount of sparkle varies from print to print.
