Ceramic, approximately 3x11cm

Diane uses a combination of techniques to create her scroll vases. Throwing, hand-building and slip casting methods are all employed.  Bright strong colours line the inside of the vase, while overlaid text taken from her grandparents love letters, written during WWII, adorn the outside. The letters cannot be read in full, but some words can be seen, giving a glimpse into their private correspondence.
